In the 21st-century, any mention of the name Cassio Audi brings with it thoughts of the financial career the Sao Paulo University advisor is currently enjoying. Way back in 1985, the name Cassio Audi carried with it a completely different meaning when the teenage drummer took up an offer to become a founding member of the heavy metal band, Viper. Audi would remain in place as the drummer for the iconic band throughout the remainder of the 1980s and only made the decision to return to his studies in finance in 1989 as the band prepared to embark on the recording of their second studio album and an extensive tour. Cassio Audi remains a popular figure in the heavy metal environment for the work he completed in developing the early sound of Viper and driving the band to a success still enjoyed among fans both young and old. Viper had built a strong following as a live band when they began releasing demo recordings early in their career to much acclaim from both critics and fans alike; many were amazed when the identities of the band were released and they were revealed to be a group of teenagers.
