There are few people in the Hollywood industry as prolific as Ryan Seacrest. His career began during high school. At the age of 16, he landed an internship at one of Atlanta’s top radio stations. At the same time, he was doing news reports for his local school. It was very clear at a young age that Ryan Seacrest had a passion for the entertainment industry. In 2002, a new television show swept America by storm. It was named American Idol, and it followed a singing reality TV competition. It soon rose to become America’s top show for several years in a row, and likewise Ryan Seacrest became well known all over the country as the host. A non-profit organization designed to help hospitalized children explore the entertainment industry with studios built into the hospital.
Ryan Seacrest’s media presence goes well beyond American Idol. He runs a radio show titled On Air with Ryan, along with co-hosting a morning talk-show named Live with Kelly and Ryan. In addition, Ryan Seacrest occasionally hosts special television events such as ABC’s New Years Bash. On the side, he has created a fashion and skincare brand simply called Distinction and Polish respectively. All of these ventures combined makes him heavily involved with the everyday lives of Americans all over the country.
At the end of the day, things comes and go in the entertainment world. In 2016 Fox ended American Idol after an astounding 15 year run on the network. However, luckily for Ryan Seacrest the break would not last long. ABC picked up the series for a continuation shortly after FOX let it go, and most importantly Ryan Seacrest would be the host. His entertainment presence certainly shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
