Founded in 1903, Holley has been under the umbrella of Lincolnshire for the last 5 years since it was acquired by Lincolnshire in 2013.

Holley was acquired by Sentinel Capital Partners, who hopes to combine it with its Driven Performance Brands. Despite the fact that details of the sale were not disclosed, the deal was very lucrative for either side. Holley had however retained the investment Lazard Ltd.

Alex Pall: Trying New Things in Dance Music

December 11, 2018 - Author: steph

In the most recent development, the Chainsmokers have released their highly anticipated single “Closer.” In a break from the norm, the track features Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall singing. Though it’s common for artists to sing their songs, it is unusual for the duo and their DJ equals to do so as they naturally rely on songwriters and vocalist to generate the human element to the vocals.

In attempting to personalize this brand of music, the ambition of the band is clear in striving to gain recognition as music crafters with a heart and soul as opposed to beat creators. It is clear that the band is moving to show more of itself, bringing them closer to their audience in a genre that is void of such emotion. In an in-depth interview, Alex Pall talks about establishing an identity, the new track and the evolution of the band.

Being a DJ was Alex Pall’s hobby growing up, deriving pleasure from the activity regardless of the pressing demands of the exercise as a job. He narrates how his realization that dance music was overwhelming him made him decide to pursue the task fulltime. Working with Andrew Taggart, brought a shared drive for dance music with both sharing a keen eye for what was going on in the dance music industry. Through shared observations, Alex Pall and his partner would go on to develop a unique identity around their music.

Alex Pall points to hard work early on their partnership, carving an identity in a genre of music that has tremendous demands from the people who relate to it as fans. Connecting with the fans was a learning curve for him, characterized by constant questioning. The result is more striking than Alex Pall ever imagined, and for him to stay exciting and appealing, he has to keep trying new things.

On his unique and audacious role singing about their real lives in the song “Closer,” he points to the involvement in previous writing and guiding similar songs, the pressure from the fans, and a label that eventually wants it done that way. Alex Pall also narrates about his experience working on the song with Halsey as unique.

How the Chainsmokers formed

April 9, 2018 - Author: steph

Before their big break. Alex Pall lived in New York and worked a regular job. He also served as a part time DJ, and loved it. He didn’t see his DJing as a career because it was just fun to him, but one day he decided that he wanted to make it a career, and so he told his manager.

Andrew Taggart was a college student in Maine before making his big break. He loved producing music, and he also loved electronic music. He put out a couple of songs and put them on his Soundcloud. He didn’t play in many shows but the couple he did play in inspired him to keep going. Andrew wanted to move to L.A. after college and pursue his dream for music, but his big break came sooner than he thought. He was told about the chainsmokers needing another member, and he took the opportunity and headed to New York to meet Alex.

Upon meeting, the two hit it off big and began creating music in Alex’s apartment. Today, the chain

smokers have several hits that have topped the charts for weeks. “Roses” “Don’t let me down” “Paris” “Something just like this” and “Closer” are some of their most popular hits. They’re also in the process of creating more music. They’re hoping to grow their crowd.

They have also won several awards and topped other artists who have been around for longer than they have. They won a grammy, iHeart radio music awards, MTV music awards, and billboard music awards. They have also worked with artists such as Halsey, coldplay, daya, and more. They are continuing to make music, and they’re hoping that their fans will relate to their new music, because it is different than their past successful hits. Their older hits are about life and love, but their new music is more about darker things, such as the problems with the new generation.
