May 16, 2018 - Author: steph

When people think about alkaline water, one of the brands that come to mind is Waiakea. One of the reasons that Waiakea is one of the brands that are considered when it comes to alkaline water is that it has such a distinct taste to it coming from the springs of naturally filtered water. One thing that can be said about these springs is that they add electrolytes to the water. Therefore, the water is going to have a taste to it that makes it desirable for people. It also influences people in that it makes them want to drink more water.

Waiakea has a lot of good benefits for people that are hoping to enjoy greater health. When people drink Waiakea, they improve their mental functions. For athletes, water helps replenish the fluids that have been lost in sweat. However, sweat also takes some of the electrolytes away. Therefore, it is important to replenish those as well. Waiakea has electrolytes in the water too. Therefore, people are able to enjoy a greater quenching of thirst. Therefore, they are less likely to experience some of the possible side effects that can come from water. Instead, they will be able to drink a larger amount of water without worrying about washing away their electrolytes.

Other benefits that can come with drinking water from Waiakea is weight loss. After all, the body uses water as one of the primary sources of fuel. Therefore, people who do not replenish their water are going to find their metabolism slowing down. Replenishing water is one of the best ways to keep the metabolism at a reasonable rate. They can not only lose weight but build their muscle so that they will be able to continue with their weight loss. They can sculpt their bodies so that they can feel more confident.

Hawaii Gives Us Waiākea Water

August 1, 2017 - Author: steph

Hawaii is known for its beautiful nature, people, and delicious island meals. Hawaiians take pride in their land and worship its production of all the resources needed to sustain life. Hawaiians believe themselves to be keiki o ka ‘āina, or “children of the land,” and the practice of mālama i ka ‘āina, which means “to respect and care for the land,” is one of the more highly regarded pillars of Hawaiian culture. Since the land is so cared for by its people all of its naturally produced resources are pure.

Waiākea Water is volcano water sourced at the eastern base of the Mauna Loa Volcano. The area is surrounded by preserves that are rich and bio-diverse. On a daily 393 million gallons of pure rainwater and snowmelt are fed from the slopes into the Kea’au aquifer. These numbers are important because the source could provide enough water in a month to provide all the water consumed in a year. This means that there is more water to supply those that are in need.

Just over 650 million people lack access to clean water all the while 2.3 billion live without sanitation. This causes diseases and deaths among young children, babies, and adults. To help change these conditions, Waiākea will donate 1 week of clean water to those in need in Africa and throughout the world for every liter of Waiākea you buy.

Not only is Waiākea saving lives around the world they are also environmentally conscious all the way from production to disposal. The water is packaged in a PRET bottle or recycled polyethylene terephthalate. RPET is post-consumer recycled plastic and posses incredible environmental advantages. In comparison to regular plastic bottles, the 100% RPET bottles:

1. Use less energy to Manufacture
2. Use less Water
3.Reduce Carbon Emissions
Waiākea is a movement not just towards clean water but a movement towards changing the world by promoting a healthy culture.
